Fort Lauderdale station is an inter-city rail station located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.It is served by Brightline's line between Miami and Orlando.The station is located in downtown Fort Lauderdale, on NW 2nd Avenue between Broward Boulevard and NW 4th Street, adjacent to the Broward County Transit's Central Terminal. Brightline, a private company, began South Florida service in 2018 with stations in downtown Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. Stations in Aventura and Boca Raton opened in December 2022.
The quiet zones were originally planned to be in place when Brightline would become operational between Miami and West Palm Beach by the end of 2017. Brightline started service on January 11, 2018, but various delays in constructing the quiet zones stretched their in-service date to sometime in March. [141]
But parking spaces aren’t free. If you pay in advance, parking will cost $5. Waiting until you get to the lot could cost you up to $12. Parking rates are the same as at Brightline’s Miami station.
