In 1964 Charles "Buddy" Jenkins collaborated with golfer Arnold Palmer to open the park initially as the Arnold Palmer Putting Course and Driving Range on 30th Street. 10 rides were added the next year. The Ocean City pier location was purchased by Jolly Roger in 1974. [1] [2]

Gillian's Wonderland Pier was a historic amusement park in Ocean City, New Jersey. It was founded in 1929 by Roy Gillian, son of David Gillian who first came to Ocean City in 1914. [ 2 ] It was located near the beginning of the commercial boardwalk on 6th street.
After the 1983 season it was relocated to Jolly Roger Amusement Park where it operated for the 1984 and 1985 seasons [3] before being relocated again in 1986. At Frontier City the ride was renamed Silver Bullet and is currently the tallest roller coaster at the park and the one that has been operating there for the longest time.
