My PT said my best choice is the Donjoy defiance. He said the CTI's are good as well, but with my situation and size, he would suggest the Donjoy. He mentioned the standard length with work better, but my SG12's will be about 2 inches over the brace. He said the short version will not enter the boot area but offers a bit less support.

I had custom DonJoy's after my full knee reco. They are extremely protective, just not great for moto. Very bulky, so much so the modern extra tight moto pants don't even fit over them. I switched to Mobius braces, and while they aren't near as protective they work better for moto. I don't like any knee braces, but I refuse to ride without them ...
My right knee is asking for a blow out. Been giving me some major pain as of late, likely from all the time I spend crawling around on grating and steel at work. My medical covers braces, I was just curious as to what y'all would suggest I get.
Bulky knee braces suck. People tell me you get use to them after a while, but I never did. Its funny because more people pass on chest pros and kidney belts now a days because they "get in the way", but if you try using knee braces then use pads they cramping style factor is nothing.
