The Global Recording Artist of the Year is an award presented by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) to honor the year's commercially best-performing musician, based on global album-equivalent units earned, which includes music downloads, streaming and physical sales. The chart includes all the music of each artist featured, not just one track or album. It uses album equivalent units to combine measurements of downloads, physical sales and streams. The Top 10 Global Artist Chart is published each year, with the number-one artist being presented with a physical award, as the Global Recording Artist of the Year.

Musiikkituottajat – IFPI Finland ry, or Musiikkituottajat for short (English: Music Producers; formerly known as Suomen Ääni- ja kuvatallennetuottajat; ÄKT), [1] IFPI Finland in English, is the umbrella organization of recording producers active in Finland, with 23 record labels as its members.
Previously, IFPI, Music & Media awarded album sales in the Pan-European sphera like The Bodyguard soundtrack which earned 7× platinum, equivalent to 7 million copies. They also reported sales amount in the case of several album's artists in their regular articles.
Thus the Top 50 Foreign Albums chart continues to utilize the old charting system, while it is the only chart they currently provide. [11] IFPI debuted its new chart in early October 2010. The new chart, Top 75 Combined Repertoire, is now the sole chart by IFPI Greece and lists the top 75 domestic and foreign albums in the country.
