John F. Bergstrom is an American entrepreneur, automotive dealer, and philanthropist. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] He is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Bergstrom Automotive, a major car dealership group based in Neenah, Wisconsin .
The Aerocar is an American automobile that was built from 1906 until 1908 in Detroit, Michigan.Backed by Henry Ford's former partner, coal merchant Alexander Malcomson, the short-lived company offered an air-cooled four-cylinder luxury car which sold for $2,800.
Appleton spotlight on a 1956 Ford. Appleton spotlights, or simply Appletons, were a common feature in early automobiles, up to the muscle car era. The bullet-shaped spotlights (usually installed in pairs) included a handle which was mounted through the side window pillar of the cab (just above the hood) into the interior of the vehicle. [1]
Shortly thereafter, in August 1886, Appleton was the site for another national first, the operation of a commercially successful electric streetcar company. Electric lights replaced gas lamps on College Avenue in 1912. Appleton also had the first telephone in Wisconsin, and the first incandescent light in any city outside of the East Coast. [19]
