The original series films were directed by Hiroshi Fukutomi in 1980, Hideo Nishimaki from 1981-1982, and Tsutomu Shibayama from 1983-2004. When Doraemon returns and examines the rocket, he finds Papi, an alien smaller than an Earthling, emerges from it. Papi's rocket is broken, so Doraemon and Nobita decide to repair it. The next day, Shizuka brings a dollhouse for Papi, and Doraemon and the others become smaller with the "Small Light," and they play together and deepen their bond.
