The Triple J news theme introduced in 1991 is a remix of the ABC's "Majestic Fanfare". The Triple J news theme is a "very 90s remix" of the classic ABC News theme "Majestic Fanfare". It was written and produced by Paul McKercher and John Jacobs in 1991, and is still used as of 2024.

It was the 32nd annual countdown of the most popular songs of the year, as voted by listeners of Australian youth radio station Triple J. Two days later, on 27 January, the station announced the Hottest 200, counting down songs 200–101.
Like a Version is a long-running weekly segment on Australian youth radio station Triple J. It involves musicians playing two songs live in the Triple J studio, one of their own songs and then a cover version. The series was created by presenter Mel Bampton in 2004 as part of the Mel in the Morning program. [1]

The triple j Hottest 100 allows members of the public to vote online for their top ten songs of the year, which are then used to calculate the year's 100 most popular songs. Any song initially released between 1 December 2020 and 30 November 2021 was eligible for the 2021 triple j Hottest 100. Voting opened on 14 December 2021.
The double-platinum album received the 2010 ARIA Award for Best Rock Album and in early 2011, the band's breakthrough hit "Plans" ranked number four on Triple J's Hottest 100. The album's follow-up single, " Wild at Heart ", reached number one on the country's national airplay chart and won the band an APRA Award.
