The original Japanese release of the game was unique for its naming conventions for all the characters. All the adult incarnations of Goku are referred by his full name "Son Goku" (孫悟空) while his child incarnation is referred simply as "Goku" (悟空), and his Z series incarnation is presented in all capital rōmaji "SON GOKOU".
