Each of the people listed in the attached documents were a citizen in the Republic of Texas (1836-1846), a few have different (multiple) spellings. The descendants of these people are eligible to apply for membership in The Sons of the Republic of Texas.

Most items in the collection are intended primarily for classroom teachers at the 4th and 7th grade levels, where Texas history receives special emphasis in the curriculum, but many can be easily adapted for use in other situations with different age groups.
