BNQT (/ ˈ b æ ŋ k w ɪ t / "banquet") is an indie super-group featuring Fran Healy , Alex Kapranos (Franz Ferdinand), Eric Pulido , Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses) and Jason Lytle , backed by other members of Midlake: Jesse Chandler, Joey McClellan and McKenzie Smith.
The Allmusic site awarded the album 4½ stars stating "Nice and Easy is a mellow and heavily bop-influenced set fairly far removed from his usual blues-tinged funk... The results are a welcome change of pace from Lytle's often frenetic and occasionally too-busy style, and the ballad-heavy selection is a nice balance of new tunes and a few familiar standards.
William Haines Lytle was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the scion of the affluent Lytle family. [1] He graduated from Cincinnati College and studied law. After passing the bar exam, he established a law firm in Cincinnati, but soon enlisted in the 2nd Ohio Volunteer Infantry and served as a captain in the Mexican–American War.

The band is led by singer-songwriter Ben Barnett, whose work has drawn comparisons to Elliott Smith, Mark Eitzel, Billy Bragg, and Robert Pollard.
