Kenneth Nathaniel Taylor (May 8, 1917 – June 10, 2005) was an American publisher and author, better known as the creator of The Living Bible and the founder of Tyndale House, [2] a Christian publishing company, and Living Bibles International.
The NLT Study Bible was released in September, 2008, by Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. following a decade long process from original conception to publication. A Genesis "sampler" was released in April of the same year.
While its predecessor, The Living Bible, was a paraphrase, the NLT is a translation that was created by a team of 90 Hebrew and Greek scholars. The NLT copyright belongs to Tyndale House Foundation, which means that all a share of the profits from the sales of the Bible go towards the Foundation's charitable grants. [5]
