Ross is a census-designated place (CDP) in Ross Township, Butler County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,478 at the 2020 census. Ross sits along U.S. Route 27 between Cincinnati, Ohio and Oxford, Ohio. Ross is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area.
The county has a total area of 693 square miles (1,790 km 2), of which 689 square miles (1,780 km 2) is land and 3.8 square miles (9.8 km 2) (0.6%) is water. [9] Ross County is the second-largest county by land area in Ohio, after Ashtabula County, as well as the fifth-largest by total area.

The township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, who are elected in November of odd-numbered years to a four-year term beginning on the following January 1. Two are elected in the year after the presidential election and one is elected in the year before it.
