Saint John the Baptist Parish Church, commonly known as Calamba Church, is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines under the Diocese of San Pablo. It is located adjacent to Rizal Shrine and is known as the christening site of José Rizal .
The Diocesan Shrine of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, formerly known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus Parish, is a Roman Catholic church located along Victoria M. Ela St. inside the University of the Philippines Los Baños campus and is often referred to as the unofficial "UPLB Chapel or "College Chapel".
The church forms a cruciform and has a measurement of 162 by 36 feet (49 by 11 m). It is constructed in the Corinthian and Ionic architectural orders. [1] [4] Its facade has classical Corinthian columns and cornices across a floral stone relief. [7] The church's side entrance is elaborately designed which is typical of churches in Laguna.
