As of the 2020 United States census , the township's population was 22,450, [ 9 ] [ 10 ] an increase of 922 (+4.3%) from the 2010 census count of 21,528, [ 18 ] [ 19 ] which in turn reflected an increase of 689 (+3.3%) from the 20,839 counted in the 2000 census .
