Franklin Township is one of eleven townships in Montgomery County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,765 (down from 1,915 at 2010 [3]) and it contained 749 housing units. [2] Franklin Township was established in 1831. [4]

Franklin is located 20 miles (32 km) south of Indianapolis and 90 miles (140 km) north of Louisville, Kentucky, on I-65 and U.S. 31.
