Pearl Art and Craft Supply (formerly known as Pearl Paint) was a chain of art supply stores. Founded in 1933, Pearl was headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and had stores located throughout the U.S. including New Jersey, Florida, New York, and Massachusetts. The chain once consisted of as many as 18 stores in total.

John Spring, a Polish immigrant, started his business in 1932 on Astoria Boulevard, at the end near what is now the Socrates Sculpture Park. [4] In 1947, the foundry moved from its location near the East River to where it is at present. [2] Spring built the business on close relationships with a small group of "prominent and prolific" artists.
A successor company to Janentzky & Weber Manufacturers & Importers, F. Weber & Company, Inc. was established in 1853, [4] and has been known for quality and innovation throughout its history, for example in the late 19th and early 20th centuries—the golden years of the prestigious World Fair—F. Weber & Co. frequently won gold medals for its fine quality products.
Its Italian Renaissance architectural and decorative style was unique among Astoria's commercial buildings and stood out from the rest of the post-fire reconstruction.
