The first three buildings line the north side of Post Road just east of the junction of US Route 1 and Rhode Island Route 117, where the village of Apponaug was established in the 17th century. Past the mall, Route 113 crosses over the southern junction of Interstate 95 (I-95) and I-295. There is no access from Route 113 to northbound I-295.
