Parkrun (stylised as parkrun) is a collection of 5-kilometre (3.1 mi) events for runners, walkers and volunteers that take place every Saturday morning at more than 2,000 locations in 22 countries across five continents.
The race was named after the Queen Mother's trainer, Peter Cazalet, and his amateur jockey, Anthony Mildmay. The race was first run in March 1951 over a distance of 3 miles 125 yards and was last run under this name in 2000, although the race was also scheduled, but abandoned, in 2001, 2002 and 2003. [ 1 ]

The event celebrating this was run on 4 October 2014 and contained a record 1,705 runners, beating the previous record of 1,184 on 11 January 2014, which was the 500th event. The course is an out-and-back run on the Taff trail along the River Taff, within Bute Park, and on tarmac footpaths.The event director set up nearby Grangemoor parkrun in 2015 and a third parkrun in Cardiff is planned to reduce congestion on the course.
With only one roller coaster in the park at the time, the Comet, there was a desire to add more and keep the park competing at a national level. After receiving several proposals for the new attraction, the park decided to partner with Arrow Development to create Trailblazer. The ride was purchased on April 30, 1973, at a cost of $975,000.
