Huntington is a city in Cabell and Wayne counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. [9] The seat of Cabell County, the city is located at the confluence of the Ohio and Guyandotte rivers in the state's southwestern region.

There is no uniform standard for what constitutes an individual neighborhood within the city; however, the city of Huntington does recognize a list of 12 neighborhood associations that encompass broadly recognized regions.
