Richard Ramirez is an American noise music artist originally from Houston, Texas, recording and performing both as a solo artist and as part of several groups, including Black Leather Jesus, [1] Priest in Shit, An Innocent Young Throat-Cutter, House of the Black Death, Martyr of Sores, Last Rape and the "static noise" solo project Werewolf Jerusalem. [2]
In June 1985, a highly publicized murder case began revolving around Richard Ramirez, who was responsible for more than 15 brutal murders as well as rapes and attempted murders in Los Angeles. Nicknamed the "Night Stalker", Ramírez was a fan of AC/DC, particularly the song "Night Prowler".
The Peacock docuseries Richard Ramirez: The Night Stalker Tapes, out Dec. 10, explores the life and crimes of the notorious killer. It even includes recorded interviews with Ramirez, who died in 2013.
