Wokingham (/ ˈ w oʊ k ɪ ŋ əm / ⓘ WOH-king-əm) is a market town and civil parish in Berkshire, England, 37 miles (60 km) west of London, 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Reading, 8 miles (13 km) north of Camberley and 4 miles (6 km) west of Bracknell.
Wokingham, or the Borough of Wokingham, is a local government district with borough status in Berkshire, England. Since 1998 its council has been a unitary authority, having taken on county-level functions when Berkshire County Council was abolished. The borough is named after its main town, Wokingham.

The historic county included the parts of Oxfordshire south of the River Thames , which formed its northern border, but excluded Caversham and Slough .
