The William Sherman Jennings House (also known as the May Mann Jennings House or the Jennings-Rogers House) is a historic residence in Brooksville, Florida, United States. It dates to ca. 1888. Located at 48 Olive Street, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 22, 1998.
Brooksville's clubhouse held its grand opening on April 18, 1971, with an initial club membership of 425. [7] By 2002, Brooksville faced "declining play and a dated layout". [1] According to the Tampa Bay Times, "greens were in poor condition, tee boxes had become crowned and bunkers had lost their payability and attractiveness". [8]
It is still a primary connecting route with Tampa. Between Brooksville and Garden Grove, US 41 is a six-lane highway, and between Garden Grove and Masaryktown it is a four-lane highway. To the northeast, US 41 runs through part of the Withlacoochee State Forest. Plans are currently under way to widen US 41 throughout Hernando County.
