The most simpel option would be a vanilla cobble gen with create mechanical drills. The best solution I found so far is the industrial foregoing stonework machine. Use a modular router with a breaker upgrade. Just set up a builder in the mining dimension and farm solar panels for power.

Like so: --Second, Make a 3*3 hole on the floor in the middle. Like so: --Third, put 4 pistons in the center of each wall inside the 3*3 hole. Put a stone/cobble in between those. antilos_weorsick. • 1 yr. ago. You've got several options to solve this problem: Control the speed at which the stone is generated. Slow down the drills. If they are spinning slower, they will break the blocks slower. Or use fewer drills. Speed up whatever is consuming the cobblestone. Dispose of the excess cobblestone.
Now my question is how much speed do I use for the most efficient cobble gain. At normal (114 speed) I get all 5 per column. at 150- 200 I get 3 blocks. at 214-270 I get 2 blocks. at 290-400 I get 1 block. So now I put 10 seconds on my timer and tried to figure out which is the most efficient.

After a while zombies and skeletons spawn with iron, gold, or chain armor. Since 1.11.1 you can smelt these into iron/gold nuggets. After a while you have enough iron to get to the hopper stage of vanilla Minecraft. There's still no way to get nether quartz (the item, not the block) though.
