The Fullerton Transportation Center is a transit center located in Fullerton, California, United States.It is served by Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner and Southwest Chief trains, as well as Metrolink's 91/Perris Valley Line and Orange County Line trains.
The $13 million Irvine Transportation Center opened on June 1, 1990, when Irvine was officially added to the Amtrak timetable as a stop on the route of the San Diegan (later renamed the Pacific Surfliner). [6] [7] On August 25, 2008, a new four-story parking structure was opened to expand available parking at the station by 1,500 spots. [8]
Burbank Airport–South station is served by ten Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains (five in each direction) every day, with departures evenly spaced throughout the day. [4] Twenty Metrolink Ventura County Line trains (ten in each direction) serve the station each weekday, running during peak hours in the peak direction of travel.
Amtrak's Coast Starlight and Pacific Surfliner serve the Burbank Airport–South station located south of the airport. The train station is a short walk from the terminal area via skybridge. The former Oxnard depot has continued in use as a maintenance and freight yard office by Union Pacific. Metrolink service started on April 4, 1994, after the Northridge earthquake damaged Simi Valley Freeway and the Federal Emergency Management Agency agreed to temporarily fund the extension of service.
