Non-shedding hunting breeds are considered to be the Griffon and the Pudelpointer. The GWP/Drahthaar, have both Pudelpointer and Griffon genetics and may or may not shed. The other two members that make up the Drahthaar are the Deutsch Kurzhaar (real German Shorthair) and the Stichelhaar, another rough coated breed. True non-shedders do not exist.

Personally I would go with a proven sheding breed. Maybe you could talk her into a different breed if you where to say it doesn't shed as much. I have heard of a few guys pulling that off. I don't think the shorthair's shed that bad but the defiantly shed and it does get on your clothes and furniture.

I also like Grundens and this year switched to the rubber pants instead of the Gore Tex style. Those are nice, but I find only last a couple of seasons before the inner lining sloughs off.

Clip the life jacket to the spring scale. Pull the life jacket underwater with the scale. Read the scale just when the life jacket is fully submerged. Whatever pounds the scale reads is the pounds of buoyancy. In other words, pounds of buoyancy is the upward force exerted by the submerged life jacket.

It is similar in thickness to you original plywood decks, so you won't have clearance issues around access hatches above the fuel tank. If you go w/ the 5/8" or 3/4" thickness, it can also bridge the gap above stringers without the need to additional support (even 1/4" aluminum diamond plate will sag over time).

For a 32-33 Express Model twin 225's just seem a bit too small. A few of the newer ones I have seen have 250's or 300's. A few particulars: No diesels, twins or better, outboards only. 28'-35' range and around the $100,000 range or less. I don't see the need to spend that much money but it's there if necessary.

You dont want anything copper touching an aluminum boat. I’ve had plywood floors in all of my boats since 1972. One had to be re-vinyled after 25 years of heavy use with large dogs in Columbia. I think storage has a lot to do with it. If your boat also doubles as a frog pond out behind the shed, plywood floors aren’t the best choice.

Two piles looked like they were there from when they had bedded down that night and the other pile I saw was randomly out there. I would think it was them thinning their coats for the coming summer but these were ...
