The Glacier Lodge is a campsite in Big Pine, California in the Sierra Nevada. It is located in Big Pine Canyon, below Kid Mountain. [1] The area is popular with wilderness enthusiasts and offers fishing, camping, hiking, cycling, and other activities. Big Pine Creek runs alongside the road.
Location of Big Pine Reservation. The Big Pine Reservation was established in 1912 and is 279 acres (1.13 km 2) large, located along US 395 in the high desert town of Big Pine, California. Much of the area houses were built by the Indian Housing Authority. There is a school, with classes from kindergarten to 12th grade adjacent to the reservation.
Big Pine is located approximately 15 miles (24 km) south-southeast of Bishop. [3] Its population was 1,756 at the 2010 census, up from 1,350 at the 2000 census. The Big Pine Band of Owens Valley Paiute Shoshone Indians of the Big Pine Reservation bases their tribal headquarters there.

Big Lake is 575 acres (233 ha), [1] an average depth of 16 ft (4.9 m). The lake has 5 campgrounds, a general store, a marina, and 3 boat ramps. Gas motors are restricted to 10 hp or less. There are also boat rentals. The cold waters are home to many trout species including rainbow trout, cutthroat trout, and brook trout.

The park is in the high Sierra Nevada mountain range at an elevation of around 1,900 metres (6,200 ft). It is covered in mixed coniferous forest with tree species such as Jeffrey pine (Pinus jeffreyi), white fir (Abies concolor), Sierra lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta ssp. murrayana), California incense cedar (Calocedrus decurrens), sugar pine (Pinus lambertiana), and red fir (Abies magnifica).
