The Eastern Police District (EPD) is a police district command under the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) of the Philippine National Police (PNP) serves the cities named Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasig, and San Juan as its law enforcement agency. The headquarters located at Pasig.
On July 8, 1974, President Marcos issued Presidential Decree No. 421, making MetroCom the basis for a regional police command for the future Metro Manila region. [3] All local police departments within the capital area were joined under national government control as the Metropolitan Police Force (MPF) and overseen by the commander of MetroCom.
It was formed on November 25, 1939, as the Quezon City Police Department. [2] It was merged with the CAMANAVA area and formed the Northern Police District (NPD). On November 6, 1990, the separation of Quezon City from NPD was implemented, leading to the creation of what was then the Central Police District.

The Southern Police District was established on August 14, 1974 when Senator Juan Ponce Enrile, then Secretary of National Defense and Acting Chairman of the National Police Commission approved the Rules and regulations governing the Metropolitan Police Force, as promulgated by the C, PC/INP for implementation and publication.
