IPC Shopping Centre (formerly Ikano Power Centre) is a shopping centre anchored by IKEA near The Curve in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia. It opened on 18 December 2003 and has 5 floors. [1] It was formerly known as the Ikano Power Centre. After extensive renovations done, it opened in November 2017 as IPC Shopping Centre.
This was quickly followed by the Ikano Power Centre (now renamed as IPC Shopping Centre) in 2004 and The Curve in 2005. At about the same time, the 1 Utama new wing had commenced operations, which then became the largest shopping mall in Malaysia (or currently 12th largest shopping mall in the world). Ikano Group is a privately held international group of companies with the parent company Ikano S.A. based in Luxembourg. It was originally a part of IKEA , which was founded by Ingvar Kamprad , then became independent in 1988, and has since been owned by the Kamprad family.
A Tesco outlet, the Ikano Power Centre, the Curve mall and the largest IKEA outlet in Southeast Asia were opened in the adjacent township of Mutiara Damansara. This has provided even more choices to the residents of Bandar Utama Damansara. There are also free bus services from the Curve to Bintang Walk, and from 1 Utama to Sri Hartamas.
