Chambers Island, named in honor of Col. Talbot Chambers, is a 2,834 acre (4.428 sq. mi.) island in Green Bay, about 7 miles (11 km) off the coast of the Door Peninsula, near Gibraltar, Wisconsin. It is part of the Town of Gibraltar in Door County. [2]
The Chambers Island lighthouse is a lighthouse located on Chambers Island in Door County, Wisconsin. It was replaced in 1961 by a skeletal tower, visible for 12 nautical miles (22 km; 14 mi). [2] [3] The new light is identified by the USCG as 7-21895. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 as reference #75000063.

A patriotic concert. The Peninsula Symphonic Band and its Swingin' Door Big Band play their annual Veterans Day concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay.
The main Door County Maritime Museum site was opened in 1997. [2] It contains the museum's offices, as well as its main exhibits. The site also hosts the tugboat John Purves , which was built in 1919, served the U.S. Army in World War II , and later sailed on the Great Lakes . [ 3 ]
The Aurora Fossil Museum is a natural science museum in Aurora, North Carolina.The museum's collection is built around fossils recovered from the nearby phosphate mine owned since 1995 by PotashCorp, but also includes fossil specimens donated from around the world as well as geology and meteorite displays.
