Copperas Cove (/ ˈ k ɒ p ər ə s / KOP-ər-əs) is a city located in central Texas at the southern corner of Coryell County with smaller portions in Lampasas and Bell counties. Founded in 1879 as a small ranching and farming community, today the city is the largest in Coryell County, with 36,670 at 2020 .
The Copperas Cove Stagestop and Post Office, in Coryell County, Texas about 1.6 miles (2.6 km) southwest of Copperas Cove, Texas, was built in 1878. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It has also served as the Martin I. Walker Historical Museum.

The Ohio Theatre is a performing arts center and former movie palace on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. Known as the "Official Theatre of the State of Ohio", the 1928 building was saved from demolition in 1969 and was later completely restored. [3] [4] The theater was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977. [3] [5]
On January 25, 1988, Columbia agreed to acquire USA Cinemas Inc., with 325 screens, for $165 million; the acquisition was closed on March 2. [9] Later in 1988, Loews bought 48 screens in the Washington, D.C. area from Roth Enterprises, M&R Theatres with 70 screens in the Chicago area, and JF Theatres, Inc. with 66 screens in the Baltimore area.
