Quercus laceyi, the Lacey oak, is a small to medium-size deciduous oak tree which is native to northeastern Mexico (Coahuila and Nuevo León) and to the Texas Hill Country in central Texas in the United States.
Quercus glaucoides is primarily a canopy tree in its native habitat. It is an evergreen tree up to 10 metres (33 feet) tall with a trunk diameter of over 40 centimetres (16 inches). The leaves are thick and leathery, up to 15 cm (6 in) long, with a few shallow rounded lobes.
