Eugene Fitzherbert, born Horace and known by the alias Flynn Rider, is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' animated film Tangled (2010), its short 2012 film Tangled Ever After, and the 2017 television series Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure (previously titled Tangled: The Series).
For years, he has been dead set on bringing in Flynn Rider to face his crimes. However, due to Rapunzel's influence and Flynn's eventual reformation, Maximus has become one of their closest allies. A strong, sturdy and reliable horse, Maximus is more of a soldier than the actual soldiers in Corona.
He voiced Flynn Rider in the 2010 Disney animated musical fantasy film Tangled, in which he performed "I See the Light" with Mandy Moore. The song won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
