The 75/24 Split (pronounced "seventy-five twenty-four split"), also commonly known simply as "The Split", is the name given to the interchange between Interstates 75 and 24 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The interchange was originally constructed between 1959 and 1961 as a simple directional-T interchange .
The 24-acre (97,000 m 2) complex was a convention center, hotel and resort with restaurants, shops and a model railroad setup that was operated by the Chattanooga Area Model Railroad Club (now disbanded) on the second floor of the property. [8] Hotel guests could stay in restored passenger railway cars.
Part of Interstate 24 westbound will be closed in Nashville for scheduled maintenance from 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 6 through 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9.
