A replacement for the fire-wrecked St Patrick of 1906, she was herself sunk with the loss of 30 lives on Friday 13 June 1941 by an air attack near Fishguard. Although registered by the Fishguard and Rosslare Company, she also saw service from Weymouth, where one of her lifeboats was used as a harbour launch for some years after her sinking. [3]
