Impressed by Moody's vision, Jordan became concerned about establishing schools to carry out such an objective. As pastor of Third Presbyterian Church in Omaha, Nebraska, Jordan founded Omaha Bible Institute (OBI) in 1921 to educate men and women in the Bible, theology, and ministry. [2] OBI was legally incorporated on January 14, 1924. [3]
Today, there are campuses in North Omaha at Fort Omaha, in South Omaha, and in Elkhorn, as well as centers in Bellevue, La Vista and Fremont, the Applied Technology Center and classes at Offutt Air Force Base, and multiple area high schools and offsite locations. In 2011-12, MCC enrolled 32,765 credit students and 17,374 noncredit students.
Nebraska Christian College had raised money over several years to move the campus to the Omaha metro. It was a member of the Association for Biblical Higher Education . In 2016, the college completed a merger with Hope International University that gave students access to a plethora of online courses as well as additional degree options.
Habib Medical School began classes on 27 October 2014 with 35 students, out of the 120 who were admitted for the five-year MBChB degree course. [7] The medical school is part of IUIU's expansion program, which includes the creation of the Faculty of Engineering in 2015.

The Immaculate Conception Church and School are located at 2708 South 24th Street in the South Omaha area of Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The complex includes a church, a friary, a convent, and two school buildings. The friary, built in 1886, was planned by the same Brother who designed the convent and school in 1901. In 1928 a second school building was designed by Omaha architect Jacob Nachtigall. [3]
First Unitarian Church of Omaha was incorporated on August 22, 1869, by twenty-six men and women. Its regular minister was Reverend Henry E. Bond, and its first chapel was a small brick building located at 17th and Cass that was dedicated in 1871. In the fall of 1889 Reverend Newton M. Mann came to serve the church.
