edit: here is the Stoeger pad but I don't know how that would fit on a stock that came w/ a buttplate (the double defense is the "black" coach gun thingie ... comes w/ a butt pad from the factory). Same deal w/ the Uplander ...
Especially on something like the Brazilian made Stoegers where stock dimensions are not held real close to a standard dimension. With most pad makers and when thinking about putting a pad on a small-volume gun like a Stoeger double, there's severe difficulty finding out if they even TRY to make a model-specific (pre-fit) recoil pad.
Location:Phoenix. SASS# 67202. Cowtown / ACSA / Arizona. Posted July 11, 2018. I had a lace-up kick killer on my Stoeger before I had the stock cut. I had to go find it ... on the back it is marked "S" (small). I was pretty sure that was what I had used but didn't wan't to post until I found it.
KickEase and LimbSaver are about the best (softest) recoil pads for our sport, and are both available in grind-to-fit models. Based on the fact you asked the question, you don't probably have the skills to fit one of them. So, take the gun down to your local smith and let him fit it. Money well spent.
This is a round 6.75" x 15/16" chamber that holds 1.9 lbs of lead shot. Those wanting a lesser load can put the shot up front, and stuff the pad side with rags. The Stoeger Supreme weighs 6.5 lbs. Winchester AA Featherlites #8, 980 fps produces 9.9 lbs of recoil at this weight.
SASS Wire. Baikal Coach Gun - Recoil Pad. The wife and I have decided to get involved with CAS. We scored a Marlin 1894 Cowboy Limited, a nice holster rig and a Remington Baikal SPR 220 12 gauge coach gun. The shotgun has a fair kick and I know she is going to need a recoil pad. I can find them for the Stoeger, but nobody seems to list o...
I just picked up a stoeger coach gun in 12ga and this thing definitely kicks like a mule. I have fired a 10ga pump but it feels that with 3in shells this little coach gun has more of a punch. This little plastic 'recoil pad' is doing nothing on it right now. I want to find a good recoil reducing pad for the gun.
A grind-to-fit KickEEZ pad. KickEEZ cause it's the best for recoil absorption. Grind to fit, because you will almost certainly NEED to trim the stock down to a shorter length. The minute you chop any length off the stock, a "FACTORY FIT" pad for a Stoeger no longer fits. And the grind-to-fit will fit to whatever stock you have.
Posted April 2, 2016. If you will remove the stock and manually operate the safety lever you will see a small arm at the bottom move to block you from pulling the trigger. To disable the safety, remove the pin that holds this lever arm in place. Place the parts in a small plastic bag and store in a safe location.
Chokes are whatever type Stoeger includes as factory-standard with this model. Both barrels consistently shoot High and Left, by 12 to 16 inches in both directions. The new Remington V3 pattern is tight and dead on-the-sights at the same distance with full choke. The Supreme recoil pad is surprisingly good.. and it's a gas to shoot it.
