I am also looking for a paint finish for a metal roof that is safe for rainwater catchment. The only information I have found says not to use a finish with lead in it. Baked on enamel,galvanized and galvalume are recommended. Kynar 500 keeps coming up in my research but I can't find any actual documentation of testing safety for water catchment ...

We are building a new house and have just had a metal roof installed. I am worried the installers were amatuers and instead of 3 weeks it has taken 13 weeks and they have scraped off a lot of the paint by rough handling and the metal joints look rough and there are excessive areas of rippling in the strips signifying screws placed too tightly.
