This is the solution Ford came up with for the transmission issues of the 2012, 2013, 2014 focus and fiesta transmission. No grinding, "stuttering", jerking, for 5 days.
It’s not a recall perse, it is an extended coverage Ford put out should the TCM in your transmission fail. It is good for 10 years from the factory warranty start date or 150,000 miles. So depending on when your 2012 Focus’ warranty started, if it’s before May of 2012, it’s out of warranty. The reason why your Ford dealership doesn’t ...

I Twitter bombed Ford. I kept records for every single encounter with the Ford business. Recall, Ford has had several lawsuits for the 2012-16 Focus & 2011-16 Fiesta with the dual-clutch "Powershift" (DPS6) transmissions where Ford was actually buying back the cars (www.fordtransmissionsettlement.com & www.fordpowershiftlawsuit.com). These ...
Thanks. No, there's no recall. An extended warranty was issued for the clutch and the TCM (transmission control module). The clutch warranty is expired for 2012, 2013, and 2014 Focuses at this point. Some 2015 and any applicable early 2016 Focuses still have the warranty for the clutch which is 7yr/100k miles.
clutch problem with P0902 code. I have a 2014 Titanium here. I had the clutch recall done back in February after almost waiting a month for it. After the fix, it drives better than before. But good things never last long. The same problem came back yesterday. I went home and pull a code P0902 clutch actuator low circuit.
Everything was going great and I had a buyer lined up. Then the check engine light with code P07A3 "Transmission Friction Element A Stuck On" appeared. When this code is active the car has trouble shifting and won't go into 3rd or 5th gear. But, when I manage to get the car in sport mode and manually shift the car, it drives great.

2012 Focus with the oddball auto transmission. With only 65K miles, had the TCM replaced last week under an extended service/recall action. It took 2 months to get a TCM but at least there was no cost. Ford Service performed a road test after the new TCM was installed. Now 80 miles later the car shudders very bad under moderate acceleration ...
