Marlton is a census-designated place [10] (CDP) located within Evesham Township in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. [11] [12] [13] As of the 2020 United States census, the CDP had a population of 10,594 residents, [3] reflecting a 4.5% increase from the 10,133 enumerated at the 2010 U.S. Census, [14] in turn a 1.2% decrease from the 10,260 counted in the 2000 census.
The Amos Evans House is located at 501 East Main Street near the Marlton section of Evesham Township in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The oldest part of the house was built in 1785. The historic brick house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 2, 1994, for its significance in architecture.
For years after the construction of the one-lane Marlton Circle in the 1940s, the area was a sparsely populated farming town. [2] While the roads in the area had long been lightly traveled, the population of Evesham Township had doubled since the 1970s and the increased housing and commercial density placed greater traffic stress on the Marlton Circle.
