The Home, started in 1902 on 160 acres (65 ha) of land donated by William Gentry, was expanded in c. 1905, and again in 1922 and in 1962. It was designed originally by architect Joseph P. Foucart , who may also have designed the compatible c. 1905 expansion.

The First United Methodist Church, formerly the Methodist Episcopal Church, South is a historic church in Checotah, Oklahoma. It was built in 1917 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. [1] It is a two-story brick building.
