State Theatre New Jersey is a nonprofit theater, located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It has seating for 1,850 people. It has seating for 1,850 people. Designed by architect Thomas W. Lamb in 1921, it is one of the oldest theaters in the State of New Jersey.
Nancy Jean Hayes was born in Plainfield, New Jersey, [1] on December 30, 1930. [2] Raised in Warren Township, New Jersey , [ 3 ] she graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1948. [ 4 ] [ 5 ] She studied piano on a scholarship at Eastman School of Music [ 6 ] [ 1 ] [ 7 ] and music theory at Wellesley College .
In 1935, he joined the Curtis String Quartet, [5] which was formed in 1927 by students of the Curtis Institute of Music. Jaffe was the second new member to join the quartet. [6] They toured throughout the United States and internationally, including a performance in the jubilee celebration for King George V in England in 1935. [2]
