The Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji is a training facility for the Nigerian Armed Forces, including the army, air force and navy.It is near the village of Jaji, Nigeria, about 35 km (22 mi) northeast of Kaduna in the Igabi Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, Nigeria.
Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) supervises the training schools and combat development in the Nigerian Army. It is headquartered in Minna in the Niger State. [2] TRADOC is charged with doctrinal training and combat development, supervising training centers. It also serves as a senior think-tank in Nigeria.
The institution was established in 1992 as the highest military training institution for senior officers of the Nigerian Armed Force and also considered as an center of Excellence for peace support operations training in a strategic level for West Africa regions, the NDC was formerly known as the National War College when it was established. It came into being in April 1958 when some Nigerians and British instructors were moved from the West Africa Command Training School at Teshie in the Gold Coast (now Ghana) to Dalet Barracks in Kawo, Kaduna. The barracks was used by the Nigeria Regiment and the unit became the Nigerian Military Forces Training College (NMFTC). [1]
