The Daffodil Festival is a regional festival and royalty leadership program. The Grand Floral Parade is held in Pierce County, Washington , every April. It consists of a flower parade and a year-long royalty program to select a festival queen from one of the 24 area high schools.

Orting is the fourth and final stop in the annual Daffodil Festival Parade. With the exception of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and 1943-1945 due to the Second World War, [17] the parade has gone through downtown Orting since 1934 and draws over 10,000 people in early April to festivities. Each year, Fife participates in the Pierce County Daffodil Festival, a regional tradition since 1933. Each year a competition is held in the fall within the school, for the title of Fife Daffodil princess. Once selected, the Fife Princess joins other area school representatives in competition for the title of Daffodil Festival Queen.
