Plano East's Class of 2005, with 1220 graduates, was the largest high school graduating class in the U.S. that year. [4] The Class of 2014 was also the largest high school graduating class in the U.S., with 1561 graduates. [5] Plano East is the only senior high school in Plano ISD to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. [6]
The choir is supported by cello and piano. [3] Music composed by Davis has been performed throughout the U.S., Europe, South Africa and South America, by groups such as Conspirare and Voces8. [2] He has written arrangements for Voces8, for example "Joy to the World" and other Christmas carols for a 2021 video with orchestra. [4]
Katz wrote several television episodes and three feature-length films during his career. Following a move to Plano, Texas in 1993, Katz taught a communications class at Plano East Senior High School until his death in 2005. Like the other five Plano Independent School District 9-10 high schools, McMillen offers a Humanities class for gifted-and-talented (GT) students as a continuation from the elementary school and middle school PACE (Plano Academic Creative Education) program. Humanities is a one-period class that students take for two years.

Tarver was born in Plano, Texas on August 4, 1982. [2] [3] He started out singing in a church choir.In 1996, he appeared as a choir boy in the Baz Luhrmann movie Romeo + Juliet, singing at the titular couple Romeo Montague (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Juliet Capulet (Claire Danes)'s secret wedding.
