The "Doo Wop" single was reviewed in the same issue as the album, Aug 29. The review states "this is the first official single from Hill's much-anticipated solo debut". This issue was also the first week that "Doo Wop" reached the R&B Airplay chart. However, this single was not for sale to the public.
