Bone: Out from Boneville is an episodic adventure game by Telltale Games. It was Telltale's first adventure game, [ 1 ] and their second game overall, following Telltale Texas Hold'em . A Mac port of the game was released on October 13, 2006, ported by Vanbrio.
The three Bone cousins, Fone, Phoney and Smiley, are lost in the desert after being run out of their hometown of Boneville. Eventually they find a hand-drawn map and are attacked by a swarm of locusts. Fone Bone escapes, but falls off a cliff; climbs the other side; and finds a trail of Smiley's cigars that lead into a nearby mountain range.
The first episode, Bone: Out from Boneville, was released on September 15, 2005, and the second, The Great Cow Race, on April 12, 2006. Both were available in downloaded or boxed form on Telltale's website for Windows-based PCs. The games were also available via Steam, but were delisted following Telltale's closure.
The game starts up where Bone: Out from Boneville left off, with the Bone cousins' arrival in Barrel Haven just in time for the Spring Fair and annual Cow Race. In this third-person game, the player gets to control all three Bone cousins (using a technique similar to the one employed in the LucasArts adventure game Day of the Tentacle). Fone ...
