Haven Today is a national broadcast Christian radio program. [1] The radio program was founded in 1934 as The Haven of Rest by Paul Myers, who became a radio personality known for Christian ministry. Raymond C. Ortlund Sr. (July 9, 1923 – July 22, 2007) and Anne Ortlund (December 3, 1923 – November 4, 2013) were American evangelical speakers and authors. Ray was a pastor, author, broadcast host, and Christian speaker who was heard by millions across the nation on the radio program The Haven of Rest.
The First Congregational Church of East Haven occupies a prominent position at the eastern end of the town green in the center of East Haven. It is a 2-1/2 story structure, built out of red sandstone quarried in nearby Fair Haven, and mortared with a combination of historic lime mortar and more recent cement mortar.
