Sepak takraw, or Sepaktakraw, [1] also called buka ball, kick volleyball or foot volleyball, is a team sport.It is played with a ball made of rattan or plastic between two teams of two to four players on a court resembling a badminton court.
Sepak takraw and chinlone competitions at the 2023 SEA Games were held from 6–16 May 2023. The events were held in the Basketball Hall, Olympic Complex, Phnom Penh. A total of 22 medals were awarded. [1] 2023 marked the return of chinlone to the SEA Games after a six-year absence.
Khusbhu (born 24 June 1995) is an Indian sepak takraw player. She won a bronze medal in the women's regu event at the 2022 Asian Games. [1] [2] [3] The Indian team consisting of Maipak Devi Ayekpam, Chaoba Devi Oinam, Khushbu, Priya Devi Elangbam and Leirentom Bi Devi Elangbam lost Thailand 10–21, 13–21 in the semifinals.
Sepak takraw was contested at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China by both men and women from November 16 to 27 2010. Team, Regu, and Doubles competitions were all involved in the Sepak takraw competition with all games taking place at Haizhu Sports Center. [1] Each country, except the host country, was limited to two entries per gender.
