The Collegiate Church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity, Stratford-upon-Avon, is a Grade I listed [3] parish church of the Church of England in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England. It is often known simply as Holy Trinity Church or as Shakespeare's Church , due to its fame as the place of baptism, marriage and burial of William Shakespeare .
The king however reserved for himself the right of choosing the design of the building. The church was designed by Szymon Bogumił Zug and constructed in 1777–1782. Already on 30 December 1781 the congregation's pastor Gottlieb Ringeltaube celebrated the inauguration of the church. It is a Classical rotunda based partly on the Roman Pantheon. [2]
