Leander Independent School District is a school district based in Leander, Texas and covering a total of 200 square miles (520 km 2) in Leander, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Jonestown, Round Rock in Williamson County and northwest Austin in Travis County. In 2015, the school district was rated "Met Standards" by the Texas Education Agency. [2]
They beat the Eagles 49-22, then moved to the area game against Klein Forest who they beat 35-24. Leander played Garland in the regional game, but were defeated 24–27. [13] In 2013, Leander went 3-3 in district and lost their playoff game against McCallum 41-31. Since then Leander has not made playoffs.
Vandegrift's marching band has over 400 members, and has won UIL State championships 2 years in a row. The marching band has also won the 2023 Bands of America Super regional in San Antonio in both the preliminary round and final round. With their finals performance, they achieved the highest BOA Regional score of all time, with a 97.6. [9]

Founded in 2003, it serves as the third high school in the Leander Independent School District, (LISD) The school graduated its inaugural class, known as the "Alpha" class, in 2007. The school was built due to the rapid growth in the area, and continues to grow with the recent construction of its auditorium and John Gupton Stadium.
